Cable finally makes his debut in Deadpool 2 trailer
Presented by: Josh Weiss
We hope you wore your brown pants today, because you may be soiling them with excitement. Why, you might ask? Because the first full trailer for Deadpool 2 has finally arrived, and it not only breaks the fourth wall, it decimates it into a fine powder that will promptly be snorted by Wade Wilson. Until Cable shows up, that is.
The movie will focus on everyone's famous antihero (Ryan Reynolds) continuing his mercenary activities while preparing for his wedding to Vanessa (Morena Baccarin). When a new threat arises, however, the Merc With a Mouth's upcoming nuptials may be in danger, forcing him to join up with Collusus (Stefan Kapičić) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), as well as two new allies, the luck-altering Domino (Zazie Beetz) and time-traveling mutant Cable (Josh Brolin), whose antics (and CGI metal arm) are the focus of the full trailer:

The trailer was teased after star Reynolds tweeted out a poster for the movie that parodies Flashdance's famous "She's a maniac" scene. Instead of water raining down on a dancing Deadpool, it's bullets, because of course nothing else would make sense for the antihero who loves killing people. Reynolds' tweet also confirmed the sequel's amended release date of May 18.

Promotion for the film can be traced back to early November, when the first poster, a parody of Norman Rockwell, was released online. Then Wilson was the guest editor for Good Housekeeping, toting a Bob Ross perm, offering free tattoos at Brazil's Comic Con, and wishing Zayn Malik a happy birthday. The marketing has been unusual and unexpected in the best ways possible, keeping true to the sheer unpredictability and zaniness of the titular character.
Directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde), Deadpool 2 will arrive two weeks earlier than originally planned in order to avoid competition with Solo: A Star Wars Movie. T.J. Miller, Jack Kesy, Karan Soni, and Leslie Uggams co-star.
